    classic FAST

We have a classic fast setup that we were saving for our 70 mach 1 project. It's a sequential fire setup. I'll have to look up the serial number again to know all the options it has, since it's been awhile since I've looked into using the thing.

Now that we have the mystic apart, I wonder if it would be beneficial to put the fast ecu in the mystic, and put an XFI or something similar on the 70 when that's ready to run? I know the classic fast is already obsolete, and by the time the 70 is on the road the fast setup will be like dinosaur technology.

Our plans for the mystic at this point are to put a supercharger on the cobra engine while we are building a different engine for the car. I know plenty of people are running superchargers on stock chipped ecu's without issue, but I'm worried we'll have multiple return trips to the tuner for each time we change something with the car.

Any pros/cons to putting the classic fast setup on the car? I haven't really researched much into it yet, just curious if it's an option I should look into with the mystic...

    Opinions?

The classic is still a great computer. I would use it unless you have a need for all the extra the xfi has over the classic.

Do you think the fast would perform better on a fi mod motor than a stock ecu with a tune? I was just thinking out loud, since the mystic is apart if it would make sense to put a fast setup on it, or if its smarter to save the fast for the 70 like originally planned.

I'm sure its a dumb question and we should just save the fast setup for the 70.

Guess I dont know much about the stock efi. But if its reconfigurable like most of the newer ones its a tossup if your able to tune it your self

I think with the EEC-V you'll be fine with a chipped ECU. It also tends to avoid some of the "edge case" drivability issues that you'd have the pleasure of chasing with either FAST boxes (or, frankly, any aftermarket EFI ... you just spend a lot of time with warm-up and idle, spots where the OEMs really focus and OEM ECUs do a really good job).
