anybody willing to donate there time

Anybody willing to donate there time. my 1991 lx coupe mustang is in need of diagnosing/scanning the car will crank over but will not fire and when it does fire is because there is starting fluid in it I just need someone to look it over and scan the vehicle with a scan tool so I'm not just throwing parts at the car so I'm not wasting money

    thank you!

Go to oriellys right off white bear ave and country road e... Across from mc d. It should be like a 5min ride. I went there all the time for free scans living in mahtomedi like you. They'll scan it or you can. Write done the codes and google search. Else post the codes up here.

Some part stores will still let you take them out. You get charged the full amount on a credit card, but that's returned when you bring it back so it ends up being free.

Do you hear a fuel pump when you key on? Obviously a fuel problem

            I disagree.

This... Used and returned before a blink of an eye. Id lend up my scanner except it's only good on 96 & up models.

Fuel pump turns on. we replaced the fuel filter but after we took the old one off fuel poured out both ends of the fuel lines so fuel was goin thru it and I replaced the started relay took the starter out of the saleen and put it in my car and it cranks over but still won't fire

Split rubber line inside the tank, broken impeller inside the fuel pump both come to mind. Pull the fuel line off at the fuel filter and turn the key on, it should spray out profusely.

Well we perged the shrader valve and fuel came shooting out the valve so the engine is getting fuel but there's a brite blue spark from the ignition coil like its suppost to be but the number 1 cylinder has a dull orange spark so we thing it might be the distributor and spark plugs and wires

How bad was the fire. Was it a engine bay fire? If so how bad and what was replaced? Has it started since the fire?
If you answer these ? someone here should be able to narrow it down.
                        Progress. Should be fun.

It was parked last in 2001 but my dad started it every year up untill three years ago we replaced the fuel regulater to and after the fire it started right up when we put starting fluid and it sounded health in June when I got it towed to my house but now even three months later if it starts it sounds like its running unhealthy and rough but it will only start on starting fluid the longest it has run is 3 minutes but now if it runs it will only run for 5-15 seconds

I doubt theres injector pulse or injectors are gummed from sitting.

I think it might be fuel related. Check the fuel.
