    airshocks?

has anyone tryed using airshocks for drag racing. I need a better shock for the cougar. but the cougar uses a odd ball super long shock. besides monroe sensistrac the only other shock they make is a airshock.

from what I have found the closest other shock I can use is from a 99-04 mustang but it is over an inch shorter then the cougar shock. my car is lowered about an inch in the back. do you think I could get away with using this shock instead?

Jeg's sells shock extender's. Could run a slew of adjustables than. Looks like your shocks are 23.27" long fully extended according to rockauto.

i've had air shocks, they aren't good for anything. if your car is lowered an inch, why don't you think a shock 1" shorter would work?

just get some decent monroes or whatever and make it ride nice. i'm assuming you're not going all gung ho serious drag car, so skip that crap. put some sticky tires on for track days and you'll be fine.

Try the 99-04 shocks and see how they work? If they're no good resell them?

When there were not as many options many guys used them. I knew a couple guys with 60's Chevelles that cured wheel hop with air shocks. It also worked on my 69 Z28. We used separate lines to each shock for side to side adjustment. These seemed like fast cars in the day but were high 12 to 13 second cars. Might depend in the car and the power but separate lines is important. Poly bushings have worked wonders for me too.
