I've got a '90 2.5 Dodge turbo with stock Mitsu turbo on it. Was thinking of having a little more fun with it and maybe upgrading to a bigger turbo. I'll be honest and admit I know very little about turbos so thats why I'm asking here.
I found a used one for sale, I'm not set on it by any means, just found it as an example to use, here's the info:
Price: $475 shipped
Description: I have a nice used garrett turbo for sale, I bought it to put on my Dakota R/T but never got to it so it needs to go, T67 garrett with an 82 t3 hot side, zero shaft play and will make some serious power, it has a 3" v band already welded on the hot side.
here is the specifics off of site it was bought originally
Description
The T3/T67 H.O. is the newest addition the the Full-Race turbo family. This turbo is one of the largest and most powerful T3/T4 turbo on the market today! Available with Ball Bearing or Journal Bearing center section
Compressor Specifications:•T04R 67mm compressor wheel with a max flow rate of 75 lb/min.
•0.70AR T04S compressor housing.

•0.63 or 0.82 A/R. turbine housing available.
•4 bolt standard turbine discharge.
CHRA Specifications:•360 degree thrust bearing standard.

My question is, is this a good size/style turbo for my application? My motor is in a Voyager minivan that weighs roughly 3400 lbs and has the stock Mopar 3 spd auto trans, 70k original miles.
What kind of performance improvement could I expect with the above turbo? If that isn't a good option, what kind/style turbo should I go for?
This is pretty much a every few days driven van so I can afford to lose some mpgs in exchange for some more grunt. Wouldn't mind getting into the 14s if I ever raced it.
