    Electrical Question

Anyone on here know anything about Bronco tail lights?? I have a 79 Bronco and the passenger side brake light wont come one when I push the brake pedal. I replaced the bulbs, so I know they're not burnt out, so I'm assuming it is some bad wires. I read in another forum that TRDon knows about electrical stuff, so if you wanna chime in or meet up sometime and take a look at it let me know, I'd appreciate it, anyone else who could help me out I would also appreciate it. thanks.

See if you can get the lead of a meter in on the back side of the actual socket and have someone press the pedel and see if their is voltage. It could be that the contacts in the socket are corroded or bad. If thats not it then you will need to round up some wiring diagrams for the truck and start checking for voltages where you can to determine which section of wire is failing and then splice around the failure.

Does the blinker on that side work?

If the blinker on that side works, most likely the problem is in the turn signal switch. T/S and brake light are same wires and element in the bulb..

You have very good leads right here. I am a electrician, more for commercial and residential than cars, just so you know. Check for voltage (IF YOU HAVE A LIGHT OR METER) and the signal. If everything checks out, post up and we can try to go from there. If you dont have a meter, we can arrange something.

Plus they never wear out.

          I disagree.

I would start by checking the grounds. Does the drivers side brake light and turn signal work? Do you know if the brake light switch is clicking on and off? If the left turn signal comes on then the switch is working.
