I figured out y my car won't start is distributor was off a tooth and my fuel pump wasnt kicking on. Fuel pump fuse was blown. Replaced it fuel pump stayed on all the time till fuse blew I have power on the ground side even with positive battery cable disconected iAm lost what has power when the battery is disconnected

You will have no power when the battery is disconnected unless you have another battery or capacitor. Bad DVOM? Details...

Unhook both cables. touch them together for a minute, leave them unhooked, and then check for voltage with DVOM. if it has 12 volts, see if it will light a test light. If it won't light a test light, get another meter and check again, if you find 0 throw other meter in trash.

If it will light a test light you have another battery you forgot about, or your shit is a modern marvel and produces it's own voltage and will be seized by the government shortly and hauled off to Area 51.

Idk Wth it was but I said screw it and fused a wire from my battery to the ccrm fuel pump works now and car starts. Idk what it was it would light a test light
