Thanks Kris. I couldnt be happier with this setup. With the H/C/I, RMVB C4, turbo kit and the Megasquirt 2 the car has really come around to fit me quite well. I wasnt sure if not having overdrive was going to bother me, but since all the limits around here are 55mph, I dont even notice it at all. All I need to do now is finish a few minor upgrades, install the required NHRA saftey gear and hopefully make it to brainerd this season.

Your old 2.5" mufflers sound sweet with the turbo by the way, a real head turner. it is fun watching folks jump when the wastegate opens and the BOV vents. Folks are used to noisy gutless pickups around here, not this thing

I have no idea how much power this car is making, I wish that I had a reliable way to estimate it before going to the dyno (kind of far away)

I would get rid of copper plugs with forced induction. I tried a set for the NSRT-4 and melted them in a 100 miles. get something that can handle something.. IR's or if you don't have the $$ platty's. I would hate to scrap a car over being cheap on plugs... walk your plug gap down as you add the boost and test with blips not hard pulls.. closer the gap.. shittier the idle. Keep in mind the weaker spark the closer the gap so you might have a weak spark to begin with.

Btw, if you start fouling out plugs index them to the incoming fuel with a shim kit.

I thought plattys melted under boost. I threw the coppers in there for a good starting point. I have had fantastic luck with E3s in my sleds but have no clue how they handle boost or how much I have to change timing since the flame kernel is much more efficient and moves toward the center of the piston instead of toward the edges of the cylinder like a normal plug would do.

I have been running NGK IR's since they are anti-fouling. but in the neon it was plat's since IR plugs were not around. They used to say run copper in the NSRT-4 and run a champion plug that they came with but they had a HUGE thread on SRTforums where people were reporting melted and fractured electrodes. Also stay clear of the 2 amd 4 prong bosch plugs, they have been losing the whole electrode and grounds have been breaking off into the cyl walls. I am almost 100% sure they have scrapped the whole 4508 fusion IR line due to this. Just watch your plugs close, check for specks and cracks showing det.

BTW here are the plugs from the Caliber SRT-4. 2.4L Turbo shows the cracks and missing electrode on the NGK and some of the heat failure due to waaaay to close of a gap to keep from "blowing out"

I have been frequently pulling plugs and checking ground strap heat and looking for grey specks, so far they look ok. I also have a bore camera and have been looking inside the cylinders for det and damage, they look great. I found out a few years back that the bosch 2 and 4 plugs while ok N/A are very very bad under boost, same stories.

Plugs and Widebands and EGT's are a good way of telling you of what's going on. what is your knock like?

Resistor plugs are fine, platinum plugs are a bad idea for forced induction. The platinum tip comes off and they're junk.

                                I run ngk -8s.

The only downfall to a resistor plug is it doesn't last as long with the high output coils these days.
