can't get air to purge cooling system

Hi guys, i have recently replaced my water pump and thermostat on my 2001 cobra. I let the car run without the radiator cap on and watch the air bubble out and when it sucked coolant in and got heat and everything seemed to be pumping i shut it off and assumed everything was good. For some reason seems to be getting air in the system? not sure whats wrong looking for some help! Maybe a bad radiator cap? thanks!

You have to fill from the crossover tube above the alternator as it's running - hopefully you didn't already overheat it...

Try to get the car at an angle too, like jacking the front up, it helps get coolant in the motor and the highest point is where the air goes (crossover tube), when it starts to boil over the crossover tube, cap it back up and open the tank cap like a normal car.

        Hopefully that'll help!

Also, if you replaced the thermostat with a "parts store" and a non-Ford brand one, it's EXTREMELY likely you got the wrong one and will have ALL kinds of overheating issues. Don't ask me how I know....
