best way to repair cracks in scoop

What should I use to repair the cracks in the hood scoop. Fiberglass mat and resin or I have a plastic welder. I believe it's ABS plastic. I've already ground out the cracks so now I just want to make sure I use the right thing. I don't want it to crack again after it's painted.

I've been doing some plastic repairs of late. ABS can be made into a paste with acetone. Drywall fiberglass tape can be used to back the affected area to reinforce it. Melting or using a different compound to repair it may make it more susceptible to re-cracking.

Poor Man's (not So Rapid) Prototyping Method for the Fabber-less: Many have wished to be able to fabricate plastic models of their 3D designs, and many do not have access to rapid prototyping machines or cnc millers. My first gen crx has super brittle plastic parts so I've got some practice.

I've then followed up the fill with a palm d/a with 320. Sands out just fine.

Here is my massively cracked header panel (this one was fiberglass backed for extra strength)

It was very poorly repaired with bondo, thus the very uneven crack repair.

One more on the car for good measure.
