    timing mark!!!!!

    does anyone know the procedure to put a new timing mark on a damper/balancer? ive heard that there is ways to do so. any help would be greatly appreciated. (1967 327ci)

    you have bad timing. ask 95.0 mark he knows everything.

      Is there a reason the stock marks do not work? It you wanted a timing pointer in another spot you would have to get #1 at top dead center. You could use a saw blade or small cut off wheel to make the line on the balancer. Remove as little metal as possible since it is balanced. Not as durable but you could use a paint pen.

        I am not sure why his marks are not lining up but either way we discussed doing what you said tonight.
        I have a feeling it does not have a matching timing cover and balancer on the motor.

            it is possible that the balancer has spun on the rubber. if that is the case get a new balancer.

              A spun balancer WILL destroy a perfectly good engine. You may also feel a vibe at around 2000 rpm. TCI makes an SFI one for a good price
