I had a warped baseplate or main body or a combo of the two. I just got a new carb. Proform makes performance minded replacements

      Good god.

It's not your power valve or dust in your idle screws.

Hard restart is almost always the fuel pump not releasing pressure after the car is off and the pressure escaping through the needle and seat, bringing fuel with it and causing minor flooding.

Look down the carb, pull a plug, heck, lift the carb off and see if fuel is pooling under the carb.

Isn't this the car where people here told you to stick with a mechanical pump?

BTW, 5 seconds cranking is really not bad.

well i was looking at it and it seem that fuel is seeping out of the slit in the bore of the secondary and it looks like fuel is backed up in one of the air bleeds on the same bore.
Going to try to blow out the air bleed and try again. Any other ideas?

Either way hasnt really been affected by engine temp. Maybe a slight difference but not really a noticeable difference.

not yet blowing out the air bleeds seemed to help it but not fix it. Still looks like fuel is seeping out of the secondary slit in the bore.

You over tightened the bolts. Get it machined flat.

It's warped on the inner area. Mine did the same thing. Too much heat and torque ftl.

if gas is coming out of the small slit under, or kinda on the side of the butterflys in the back its going to be that the powervalve is bad or powervalve gasket is bad or the seal to the back fuel bowl is bad, but if you sead the back fuel level is right, thin you are ok (not the seal) and if you leave the pump on you will find out vary quick if the seal was bad
