NO2 Wide Open Throttle switch location?

Anyone ever tried another location for the WOT switch other than hanging off the throttle body?
I have never liked the location, so I have been trying to think of an alternate location. I am worried about the switch hanging up on the linkage or just getting bent and then not making a solid connection and just not turning on.

This is for a fox 5.0 stock intake with a Accufab 70mm TB.

Put it under the dash, where the cable attaches to the peddle mechanism probably have to make a bracket but you could make it work.

If we were to build a freeway into outer space, it would be possible to prove the theory of time travel using an 03 Cobra. If it dont have 3 pedals it aint no HOT ROD !

That's where I have mine mounted. I just used the bracket that came with the switch. One bend and it mounts right up.

I don't like the switch mounted to the pedal assembly myself. The one problem you might find if something mechanically fails on the throttle body or your cable you COULD have a WOT switch activation without being at wide open throttle. I thought about mounting mine down there and I'm glad I didn't. My throttle cable bracket (CSR) bolts worked their way loose (they are adjustable) after about 10 passes and the throttle plates closed almost all the way. If I had my WOT switch on the pedal assembly that could have been much worse than a slower than normal ET. They have loctite on them now. Just my .02.

            ^^^^^ THIS!

Just take your time and do a good job of mounting it and you don't have anything to worry about. Mine works TITTIES! Never had anything close to an issue with it. At WOT my switch is depressed but not bottomed out, it hits the stop like its supposed to. Just don't RNSF it.

If it was a wet shot it would just kill the engine right? Big deal, if it was a dry shot then I guess it would run lean.

Use one of these. Don't have to worry about switch mounting. I've used these on a few C5 Vettes with perfect results.

No it would not kill the engine. It might be fine and just be a slow pass...or it might fill your oil pan with pistons. You are missing my point. A lot of other scenarios can happen with the switch not located on the carburator/throttle body. It increases the chances of engaging the nitrous when the engine is not at full throttle if there is a mechanical problem.

I'm with Nick and others, mount it where it's supposed to go.
