1994 5.0 Engine moaning???

Whenever I rev my motor on the 1994 mustang, there seems to be a low pitched moaning noise that comes from either the belt tensioner or the air pump. It's not a squeak like from a squeaky belt. Has anyone else had this problem? What could it be?

yeah, it truly is impossible to diagnose that without being there to hear it and find it... it would just be guessing to tell you what the noise is.
first what i'd do is take the belt off and run the motor just to be sure it is a belt driven accesory that is making the noise...
then as long as i have the belt off, i'd spin each pulley by hand and see if you hear anything, and feel them (for bearing failure)

now that I think of it... maybe it's the alt. making noise..? But you'd have to have someone under the hood, or be under the hood and grab the throttle to see where it's coming from.

IT could be the alternator, because that is right above the tensioner/air pump. Have you heard the alternators making a low pitched noise before??
