    Electrical Question

It's kind of hard to explain because I dont really know what to call them, but im looking for a type of plug in that I can use on my tach wires and gauges and what not. I find myself year after year having to take the dash out for some reason or removing my fan and so on and so fourth.

I'm really getting sick of laying on my back trying to solder and shrink wrap the wires back together under the dash everytime. I dont want to do it half ass so if this isnt a real good idea how to do it let me know. Just was thinking of a way to make it alittle easier. Any info helps.

    Thanks, Kevin

Male and female spade terminals. I use them on my tach to replace my clock on my dash when I need to. Just unplug, stuff back in and install the clock again.

            I disagree.

Which are better you think, spade terminals or bullet conecter's?

Either/or. I dont see any benefit from one to the other. Spades are easy to find. I see them everywhere vs bullets. Might be nicer if you need replacements in a pinch.

Spade terminals are nice because they work fine and can be found anywhere like don said. You really don't need some fancy weather tight connector for interior anything, unless you have an amphicar.

Weather pack connectors make for a nice clean installation but you need a special crimping tool to properly install them.

Waytek is a local company and you can pick them up at their location.

If you want to mail order, Delcity is another good option.

But like Don said, spade terminals work great, they are available just about anywhere, and a standard crimper is all you need for installation.
