I have a 4L80 that's shifting softly on occasion and on the freeway it's coming in and out of lock up. WTF.

I suppose I haven't actually been paying attention to it as close as I should have, I've only noticed it the last 25 miles I drove it. I guess I noticed it more often going into 3rd.

otherwise it might just have a slight miss under light load. if your torque converter unlocks when you put your foot lightly on the brake going down the road it's probably not the converter clutch.

This is what I found out with my 4L60E in the Camaro. I have to find a way to tune the slight miss out(you can't even feel it missing) or get the factory tune back on the car without a dirty MAF and bad IAT valve.

Well I bought the truck used so I really couldn't say for sure.
