I keep eyeing up the mr gasket underdrive pulleys at the advanced store in town. Only $80. They are cnc machined,painted black? Am I really gonna get better power from march or ford motorsport ones????

If you're going to have a turbo-car *cough* you need to keep the cooling system operating at fullspeed.

The reason you avoid using the under-drives with a lot of turbo-setups is because you want the volume of the water flow.Originally posted by bullitt
Heat goes into a Forced-induction setup a lot more quickly than it does a N/A setup. The "compressing air thing" does it I guess.
So anyway, yeah, ya wanna keep the volume up between the radiator and the engine. Spinning the water-pump slower will decrease that volume. Ergo, leading to more problems later on down the line.

I love my cheep summit pullies I orded a few years ago! Haven't had a problem with them accept I can't run my subs with the stock ALT and huge pulley on it! ohwell! will never go back to the janky stock pulleys!

Yeah you get a huge alt pulley, small crank pulley, and huge water pump pulley all in all its worth it! ya feel the low end torque right away! Put the pulleys on then drive for a week with them on. Take them off after that and drive around once, you'll feel the power loss! Get er done, pulleys are waiting!Ride:

Not real sure about 5.0 applications, but you may want to look at Steeda or some of the other non-piggyback systems.
