So i ran into a deal i couldn't pass up. My dads old car, or at least the same year make and model.
Its a 79 Grand Prix Sj. Original 31K, Rust free, straight as hell!
Little back ground, my father and I have been trying to find his first pontiac (68 Lemans post) for a couple years with no leads what so ever. So this being his second that he owned, and the first car I remember ever being in, I thought it would be a great project for him and I. Especially considering what I got the car for and the fact that I already have the basis for a great drive train in hand!
IT WILL NOT BE AN LS CAR!
Its going to stay all Pontiac! bpo 400 and t400 trans
So if anyone has any nice old Pontiac performance stuff please let me know,
looking for heads, intake, carb, internals, suspension, race car stuff.........
The interior is near perfect so its gonna stay that way for a while.
We're intending on building a solid street strip car as my father really isn't into racing at all. Set it up to handle as well as we can make it. And throw a kit on it for strip use. It should be a fairly good first project for the old man.
