Jason took on the task of adding 5th gear to my Promotion face-plated TKO 600. It was a nightmare, lots of missing parts, dealing with Promotion/D&D and bad parts.

We ended up being able to use the .64 ratio 5th gear after swapping output shafts. I have really enjoyed driving the car as the o/d really dropped the RPM's during cruise. 75 mph is right around 2,400 rpm now with 3.90's and a 26" tall tire.

That was an experience!! Allot of work to save 5-7lbs from reciprocating weight.

I think we got the one defective gear out of Tremec! At least I got to hear some stories from 75yr old Don Walsh at D&D!
