    Tire Myth...

Is it bad to run 2 different tires in the front? I have 1 new yokohama AVS sport on the front left and I needed to find another one but they are discontinued. I was looking at getting the goodyear eagle F1 wich is real simular in tread design.

P.S. If you can find me 1 Yokohama AVS Sport 275x40x17..I will spread some awesome word of mouth for ya!

It's not 'bad'. You'll probably get some pulling to one side or the other, but your car isn't going to blow up.

My understanding is that the primary issue is when one side is worn and the other is new resulting in different diameters of tire. End result pulling to one side or the other.

Different tires = different grip and diameter... it can throw off a few things like abs, turning (traction related), etc etc.

Unfortunately all my warehouses are out of stock as well. Like the others have stated it's not BAD but would probably result in a pulling issue from the difference in tread pattern and diameter between the two different tires.

Make sure to put the noisiest tire on the pass side, or turn up the radio.
