Tires for an 04 bmw z4

I just picked up some wheels 18x8.5" ET35 and 18x9.5" ET43 looking for a good performing tire for curves/autox of the following size 235/40/18 and 255/35/18. Car will be daily driven but not in the winter. Was maybe looking at Hankook RS3s?

    235/40 is .4" taller o.d. then the 255/35.... That car uses a 225/40, 255/35 combo normally...

Hmm this is what the shop told me before I ordered the wheels (Apex wheels)...let me know what you think. Thanks

"I would recommend the 18x8.5" ET35 and 18x9.5" ET43 with 235/40/18 and 255/35/18 would be the best fitment for your car in terms of looks and fitment. You can run up to a 265/35/18 in the rear, but it will come down to what tire you want to put on there, as certain tires will require a fender roll while others would not since some tires do run wider than others. Extreme summer tires such as Dunlop Star Specs and Hankook RS3s tend to run wider, while Continental DW and Yokohoma S. Drives are not as wide"

The 235/40, 265/35 combo make sense, but 225/40, 255/35 is OE fitment.....

OK so what tire size would you recommend for the wheel size I bought. I am now thinking PSS.

I'd go with the 225, 255 deal, that way you know you won't run into issues of rolling fenders, etc...
            "PSS"??
