IF any of you are having internet issue, i may have a fix for you

It Looks like their DNS servers are jacked and not functioning.



Edit: here is your fix


You need to change your DNS Settings.

Primary and Secondary.

4.2.2.1
4.2.2.2

OR Google DNS
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

Windows XP Users
Right click on My Network places and select Properties (Or go to Control panel - Network connections)
Right Click on Local Area connection (Or wireless if your using wireless)
Select Properties
Scroll down to TCP/IP settings
double click, or left click then select properties button on the bottom right.
in the DNS Section, Click the bubble to manually set.
User the address's above.
Click OK, Click OK then wait 30 seconds.


Vista/7 is basically the same process.

Control Panel
Network and Sharing
Click on Local area connection or wireless connection
Then do the same (You want to change the settings on IPV4, ignore the IPV6).

So do we need to change the DNS back to the way it was after Comcast fixes their problem or can we just leave it as-is?

You can honestly leave it.
However it may cause problems if you are using a laptop and connect from multiple locations.
If you only connect at home, wait a couple days and when you remember, just set it back to automatic.

I set the router to the Google DNS, not the computers.
