Hello all. My name is Scott. I live in Shakopee. I moved up here 4 years ago from my hometown of Lake Geneva, WI. I don't currently hold a job, I used to deal poker at Canterbury but got laid off. So I have lots of free time. I like to go frisbee golfing and normal golfing. I play some football in the fall and might get back in the woods for some bowhunting after a 4 year hiatus. We'll see how things work out. My family is from Lake Geneva, WI so I do often take trips down there to see some family, and my friends and I go to the Grove for some racing. I'm 26 yrs old and I've been a Mustang owner for 7 years. My first was a white 91 notch. Nothing much done to it, shorty headers and an H-pipe that led to Flowmasters with turn-downs! FYI, turn-downs create a lot of internal noise, but they're cheap!
Anyways, I sold that car in the fall of '05 after I moved up here and could walk to work. It was never anything that special, just the standard 130,000 mile Rustang. But it sparked a love of Mustangs for me. My closest friend is a GN FREAK, but it was his suggestion to buy the '91 notch and it got me hooked.
In the spring of '06 I couldn't resist the temptation to get another Mustang. I have always had a love for the Cobra's and the 5.0 motor. So I was down to 3 years to choose from, and had seen my time in the box. So now it was down to either a 94 or a 95. So I set out to the intra-web to find such a ride. After about a month of looking, I found my current car. It was in Cleveland, OH and I flew down and bought it after a test drive and drove it 14hrs back home to Shakopee.
It is a Black 94 Cobra. It had 28k original miles when I bought it, and 43k now. The car had nothing done to it when I bought it. Shit it even smelled new inside still. The owner still had the SVT letter and Certification from Ford. #3500 of 5009 produced that year. One of only 331 Black w/Black cloth interior. Pretty decent sized paint chip out of the hood that had been touched up and a scratch on the driver's side rear fender. Other than those 2 spots, the car is pretty clean. It had some crappy wing thing on the rear window that got pried off before I hit the freeway. Since then the car has only seen underdrive pulleys, new brakes and rotors, cold-air intake, long tubes, an x-pipe and a set of Flowmasters. The upgrade train has been stopped for quite a while now due to some things not quite going as planned. The car has almost found its way to the classifieds multiple times in the last year and half as money has been tight, but I can't give it up, its like my child.
Thats about it for the car. I have blackouts on during the day, until I get told I can't which hasn't happened yet. Any info on whether or not I will is helpful. I'm sure some of you have seen me around as I used to cruise up to the b-dubs in Crystal on Tuesdays the summer after I bought it. The last couple summers were pretty quiet for me, working and dealing with some relationship "issues" kept me from cruising much at all. Now that that is all said and done with, its back to the streets. Some of you may have seen me the last few weeks. I pulled my car out first week of May and have kind of been on a tear since then. Lets call it "withdrawal". I'm suprised I wasn't convulsing the entire month of April with how it felt to get back out there. I signed up to the site when I first moved up here, but I wasn't very active on the forums if at all. I did ask for some suggestions when I got my Cobra as to where to get the work done. Some people recommended Todd at APS Autoworks. Pretty sure that was someone from here. Anyways, if I remember correctly, there used to be a lot of lake cruising on Sunday afternoons. Any of that still going on? Its kind of been lonely all by myself the last couple weeks driving around the lakes. Last Saturday I ran into a couple Camaro's coming south out of Savage on 169. One was a red RS and the other a white SS w/orange racing stripes. They were playing tag with a Skyline. Don't know if that was anybody on here or not. They headed into Chaska eventually. Anyways, I hope to see you all around. I enjoy cruising, in fact I've gotten tickets for it in Sconnie, so I'm sure we'll cross paths eventually.
