Newb with turbo honda, looking to go v8

hey, I'm new to this site, I've been lurking for a little while, mainly reading up on what can be done to be fast and fairly reliable. I currently have a sunburst orange honda accord with a homemade turbo kit that likes to blow engines and is'nt fast enough main reason why I'm looking for a fox body. I also have a hyundai scoupe as the beater done in grafitti. I live in Ham Lake/ northern burbs area. I have a friend who is a member here and that is how I found out about you guys. He has in 02 gt with 18'' black saleen wheels. I've also seen alot of you guys down at midway. Here pictures of my rides so go ahead and laugh if you want. I don't know if fast mark remebers me but I will be working at exhasut pros again starting tuesday and hope to see your cobra again



This is a pic of my old turbo setup on the first engine I tryed putting a fan underneath the intercooler to say the least detonation and not tunning your car makes bad things happen, I just recently blew another engine with a better intercooler in the process of street tunning, it blew in under 100 miles I think it was a bad engine to begin with, I guess you should'nt boost stock junkyard engines

Just gonna say flat out that beater car is probably the gayest thing since gay went to gay town. But otherwise, I hope to see you come to some autocrosses in the future and some track events.

Welcome, it is cool you want to convert. One question repating itself in my mind like an evil plague, why in the hell do all these rice cars have mismatched panels on their cars. Like flat black hoods make 20 fwhp and having 3 nice wheels and one black steel wheel makes them go 12's??? I don't get it. If you are an insider maybe you could tell us all.

im guessing the black is carbon fiber pieces....most of them anyways...and the 1 steelie is because they cant afford the 4th?

I have the fenders because of an accident, with that color paint it would be insanely hard to try and match it to the rest of the car so I just bought the carbon fiber ones because of cost, since I did'nt have enough money to repaint my car. I really don't like them that much. the only reason I can see for having only two nice wheels is for if your at the track and have drag radials on steelies or if your too poor to afford the other two and want to look like a retard. the flat black hoods is something I see alot of ricers do to make it look like they have a carbon fiber hood from a distance, once again I think this looks retarded as well. Theres a fine line between style and lack of style, my winter beater is on the lack of style side.

Yeah but sunburst orange isn't cheap, and the car is probually going up for sale come spring time or sooner, whenever I get around to putting a new engine in it. I'll also be selling all the turbo components off of it as well to fund a new project.

Home made turbos on boneyard motors... that's right up Ducky's alley! I don't care for imports of the like, so I don't have much to say, except I can appreciate the engineuity(sp) of fabing a turbo on there, pretty cool

I see 'em alll the time w/2 nice wheels in the back, and 2 crappy ones in the front. yah, that looks sweet man
