    Headlight/taillight combo for a bicycle?

What's a decent headlight/taillight combo for a bike that get's ridden in the city? What's the best bang for the buck setup?

    this head light

and any blinky led tail light you come across.

I have had that head light for several years now and am still very happy with it. I use it for trail riding and commuting. It is very bright and the batt last a long time.

I think its really putting out around 600, some folks on mtbr tested it a few years back when it came out. I run it on low most of the time. But for the price its hard to beat.

Do you use a helmet mount or bar mount? what do you think of those on this model?
My couch pulls out but I don't.

trail riding i use a helmet mount, for riding on the street i usually use a bar mount. With my helmet and its vent layout I am able to mount the light directly to my helmet using the bar mount. Its nothing more than a "O" ring you wrap around the bar/helmet then hook on a little nub.

Sounds like you are happy with it? Do you toss the battery pack in your bag?

The reason I ask is that I just got the 7000lm version for my gf on Ebay for $43 shipped.

I actually hang the battery from the back of my helmet. Takes a couple min to get used to the additional weight on your head, but it doesn't bother me much. I never like the idea of my helmet and pack being tied together.
