dude, most of them are like that. they don't even know what the hell is going on anymore. I remember someone awhile ago doing an interview with a congressman. they said they barely know what day it is sometimes from all the campaigning and the lobbyists. they're never really slowing down during the time they are in office being blasted with all sorts of reports and votes and special interests. so expecting a congressman to even know what day it is sounds like a stretch. and these people make laws for what we Americans do.

California shouldn't go way all together. I believe it should break into two states, as it was trying to do during the civil war with south california being a red state for like-minded people and north california being a blue state, or disappearing altogether.

I understand your plight, however if the people in his district didn't want what he stood for, they would replace him. That's how our government works.
Now, hopefully in next time around his constituents are educated emough to see that his term hits the limit.
