    Some CSVT progress

Preface: Bumpers had seen better days. For some reason the owners of these cars like hitting and/or backing into things. I was able to find a rear bumper in good condition cheap so I bought that and resprayed it.

Front bumper on the other hand could not find one used in any better condition than mine, new ones were expensive.

Please forgive the quality of the shots, these were taken on my cell phone.

    Products used:
Duramix 4240 2 part flexible repair adhesive
    Evercoat polyflex filler
    3M 50597 adhesion promotor
random assortment of abrasives and such from my friends at 3M

Broken pieces glued back together and body work begins

Body work done and bumper in primer

Base coat and clear coat applied

Rear bumper after paint and new rear mesh installed (Thanks JoeM)

Thanks for the tips on plastic repair. Definitely a different level of skill set compared to just blocking a sheet metal panel.

They are fun cars to drive, lightweight, good handling and pretty zippy with the 3.0L

Very nice - I've got to paint my front and rear spares and install them... Car got backed into in the front and something in the winter took out the bottom of rear this year...

No one makes them any more.
Most youll find on ebay will need just as much work and will be $300+Shipping

Why? With the 3L, and a tune, they are faster than the SHO, and handle better.

I guess you don't really realize how fun they are until you drive one. FWD V6 did nothing for me until I drove one.
