they went more by price... this way they were all around 30k. The mustang being the cheapest at 28k, w/ the other 2 hovering around 31k; whereas going after the srt8 and the gt500, would have meant the camaro is the only one at a 10 grand disadvantage...

But, I know what you're thinking of... compare top of the line to top of the line... And I tend to agree

Now if only Ford would pull it's head out of it's ass and put a 350+hp 5.4 in there... if they can get 315 out of the 4.6, they should be able to squeeze another 50hp out of 0.8L in a performance car application... Would have been a better way to add 35 lbs to the car than the stupid extra sound deadning they put in the 2010...

Sorry, the only other V8's available are the LS7 (505 hp) and LS9 (638 hp).
The only other option would be the six popper @ 300hp.

yeah!!!! sound deadening sucks!!! so do power windows and ac too! what a bunch of sellouts, i want to hear every damn noise possible and even noises i didn't know existed. then remove the radio for further weight savings since you also won't be able to hear it too!

Puhleez. I'm sure the 05-09 lost many customers due to insufficient sound deadning... many more than it would gain otherwise by simply wiping the floor w/ the camaro...

there all base model v8 cars too, Chevy is bad ass for that price and 426 hp....should have hit the 427 hp mark though. So much for the mighty hemi and why would they not have put the new hemi w 390 hp and vvt

why is the camaros 0-60 so low? it seemed to hook well, so that sems really weak. .2 faster then the stang and has over 100 more hp? hmmmm. whats the gearing on the 2?

almost 5 mph in the 1/4 is the # to watch. Stang prob has less hp loss and better launch w lower hp and less weight plus a live axle over IRS

The Mustang has better handling because the platform has been around for 5 yrs, although I think the Camaro has too, at least in magazines.
