The railroad overpasses in downtown Davenport claimed yet another unsuspecting victim this morning.

About 7:40 a.m., a Ryder rental truck was traveling north on U.S. 61 when it struck the railroad bridge at 500 Brady St.

The truck managed to get all the way under the bridge, but the collision peeled back the top of the empty truck.

Debris from the accident quickly was cleaned up, and traffic is back to normal.

I've hauled cars on that exact road (just south of 80 and south of the Lexus dealer I think its a 12' 8") I shit every time I'd see the sign as my truck was 13' 6"
