It isn't too difficult to be in the top 25%. I can't find a chart dated later than 2002 at the moment, but if you are at the 20th percentile from the top (i.e. above 80% of the nation) the earnings average is around 85k.

Well as much as I want to hog pile on roast em. The people in the bottom 50% are often single and or younger people that haven't yet established a carrier or stabilized their income. Of course there is a good amount of people with little talent and or ambition in that group.

No hogpile on Roast'em from me. Paying higher taxes has nothing to do with patriotism and everything to do with government's increased role in our lives. This is counter to what it should be and they spend WAY too much (inefficiency, duplication, process...)

Put government on a diet. Eat less and you loose weight!
