Saw a couple of the Michigan HP units last month. It'd be nicer if they didn't have all that JC Whitney cast off stuff all over them.
And yes, on the other units, they still have the huge red light on the top

I dunno, I did all my driving stuff in the new ones, so I wouldn't know the difference... I do know mine is drivetrain limited to about 140 mph.

on a serious note, i had this conversation with Josh, how badass would it have been back in the late 80s early 90s to be a highway patrol officer and get the call that they need you to come run down this guy in your notch??!!!
Then when you showed up you just blaze past the rest of the pack to go catch the car they are in pursuit of. It brings/brought a smile to my face thinking about that everytime i got into my ex-fhp.

I thought the speed limiters were set low due to driveshaft vibration? They also will be speed limited to whatever the tires are rated at. Some friends have said that they had trouble hitting 120mph in a loaded CV squad. (The ones with a large roof top light bar took another 8-10mph off of the top speeds)

And if they have issues hitting 120 in a loaded CVPI then they have issues somewhere... mine cruises pretty good at 115-120. You really gotta push it to hit 140.Not at the table, Carlos.
