isn't it a belt I just did a water pump in a 97 3.5L intrepid and it wasn't too bad(had to remove the t belt).

those motors will run forever if the timing belt is change at service intervals

~125k miles on it. has a miss in one of the cylinders. i'll have to track it down this weekend. hopefully its just a plug wire or something easy...
