I have ridden a tube similiar to the manta ray, its called the flyer. I was riding on it on a pretty small lake so you couldnt get going very fast, but I did get it 4 or 5 feet in the air. One of my buddies dumped it from 4 feet or so up and ruptured his ear drum. I dont know if the wind caught it wrong or what, but it got a little sideways and the just slammed him down upside down on it. It was nasty.
