Yep Paul knows what he is doing. I will have the car tomorrow.
Also, it is an S&W cage. Paul has put a lot of work into it to make sure it fits well.

Thats good just throwing out a lesson I learned on my own. After it happend to me I researched it and found out what happend. Just trying to save some one a mistake.Originally posted by LESNOVR View PostUm TIMMAH , step aside , I will handle this one. Um yes the installer of Timmahs cage has EXSTENSIVE experiance with POR-15, he has recently completely dismantled the whole undercarrige of his car and POR -15 everything! So I dont think it will be an issue!

Whats he get for a install? I'm gonna need a cage put in the escort soon most likely and if the price is right I would rather pay him.Originally posted by Macs Stang View PostYep Paul knows what he is doing. I will have the car tomorrow.

And yea, POR-15 is UV reactive which kind of sucks because if you want it to look pretty and be protected you have to buy thier primer too.

Corey, I used about 1 quart I believe for the bottom of my car. I went from the firewall all the way back. I used two coats. You better clean that sob within an ounce of it's life so the paint will stick though. My undercarriage was spotless and I still ended up with fisheyes all over. A seconds coat took care of everything. I used their POR Marine Clean to prep the area also. It's a very high alkaline cleaner that you should use to get all grease and other residues off with. I think if you have it very clean and just use some mild soapy water and wipe off with a damp lintless rag you'd be fine though.
I don't have a set price for installing a rollbar. You'll have to pm me and tell me what you have. To make it cheaper for you, you can completely gut the interior so I don't have to do all of that. It takes a long time to take all the panels off and keep everything straight. I can do it no problem, it just costs a bit more. If you have a brand cage or bar in mind and insist on using that, I am willing to do it but may have to mock stuff up a bit more to make sure it fits well. I like the SW bar because it's simple and doesn't require to much screwing with. Cutting the bars off and modifying the notches isn't really that hard. Also, think about what you will do for belts. If you are street driving, you'll want to retain the stock belt and add and aftermarket one for racing. I have both in my car and it works well.Wheels Up Mafia
