accidents like that happen all the time, some people dont realize that when the helo starts to wind down from being shut off that the blades will get lower as the rpm drops. Ive seen pics where guys have had there heads chopped off from either standing there like idiots or jumping up when they get off the chopper.

I just looked at it frame by frame, and it looks like someone out of frame throws a bag or something at the cam that has red colored liquid in it. Not real.

I just watched it frame by frame also. I see what you're talking about by something flying at the camera, but if you look closely, it looks like a hand flying at the camera with what would have been the wrist pointing towards the ground. It's hard saying though because the wrist portion where it would have been chopped off is a perfect clean cut. You'd think it would be all torn and fleshy, but it doesn't look that way.

The first pic below is probably supposed to be a hand flying at the camera. The second pic is supposed to be the hand hitting the camera. And the third pic is the first splatter of blood.

My roommate (Flight Medic in the National Gaurd) has seen stuff like that happen....

With how tall he was, and how short the helicopter was, it could happen.

Also, just idling on the ground like that the blades aren't moving toooo fast so he could have put his arms up fast enough to loose his hands.
