    1/4 Mile APP

This was my first attempt. With 235-65-15 Radials and babying the hell out of 1st I turned an OK time.

Did you stop and get a bite to eat during that pass or what? How does that app work anyway?

        GPS location.

Yes I know it is slow compared to a lot of cars out there. I know have a base line to go from and see what I can do at the track June 5th.

That's about what the average 6 cylinder family car nowadays runs, no?

Would be nice if that app included MPH.

Yea if it's gps why does it not show mph? free app? 1/8 mile? I dont know of a safe 1/4 mile stretch on the streets I have a chance of hooking on.

I doubt it uses GPS. Most likely its using the accelerometer in your phone.

Probably only 550-600 range but its still a real bitch to get traction even at freeway speeds.

If it used gps it is not accurate. I have a gtech for sale if someone is looking for more accurate results. No flat quarter mile stretches anywhere by me.

I have the Ulysse Speedometer app which has 0-100, 0-60, and 1/4 mile functions. I don't know if it is accurate, though.

It also has a nice HUD option.

The battery on the phone would go dead before my pile would reach 1/4 mile.
