I fear a guy with a scope and that knows how to use the high power rifle much more than the usual idiot with an assault rifle. If it is going to turn into a debate on who has the larger/more ammunition weapon and we don't feel safe until we have the same weapons as the perpetrator then that leaves the road wide open to get whatever weapon you are able to get your hands on.
Tactics and assault style are being compared to just an all out firing of an auto weapon. Pretty soon they will be just wearing bombs into places and taking out as many as they can in one blast and that assault rifle you have for protection isn't going to protect you.
We have a right to bear arms and have weapons to protect ourselves. No issue or concern about that, but that fully auto 50 cal that sits upstairs I am not going to aim down the steps and unload when I feel the other guy is in the house and coming after me. I will grab my sig and dogs and protect the family as the wife will have her scatter gun at the ready.
As someone that has walked into a house and had a gun pointed at them. I really didn't check the size or type of the weapon before paying attention to the person that had it in their hand and aimed at me.Honor, Grace, and DiginityComment
