dumb ass bitch provokes a cop. They warn her many times and she is still defiant. I think they made a good enough point as to safety to arrest her. Then she starts to cry. I hope she learned. I'm starting to think the majority of police officers have become one simply because of the power and perceived prestige rather than any concern for the protection of individual liberty.

This particular guy actually creeps me out. "Based on what you said to me before you started taping" is clearly a lie meant to manipulate the situation into an actionable exigent circumstance. Which also means this particular officer is adept at manipulating the legal system; unfortunately for him, he didn't understand the legal implications of this person video taping him.

Disobeying an officer never seems to go well; even if you're well within your rights. And that is why, in this situation, I would've opted to go inside per his orders. Exercising your rights is great, but given the situation I would've gone inside. Pick your battles.

She could have gotten the same crappy video from her doorstep. She wanted to make some point and prove her rights. As soon as the cop stated he was not comfortable with her position it changed the entire situation. She was also warned about 10 times to move. Her video will prove she was in the wrong. When an officer tells you he feels in danger because of you standing behind him and you refuse to move you get locked up.

Wait, now it's our duty to fear and obey police officers just because they're police officers? Clearly he felt severely threatened. Three armed police officers vs. one small woman with nothing but a video camera. The only thing he was afraid of was getting caught doing something wrong.

For instance: in the police report he claimed the car he pulled over was full of gang members. There was one person inside. This video may keep that man out of jail.

Why the fuck would you side with an officer who not only broke the law by arresting her, but falsified his police report in order to justify harassing someone for driving while black?

Should she have been arrested? No.

Should she have put herself in the situation to be arrested? No.

Regardless of whether or not you have your rights an officer has the right to arrest you for pretty much no reason at all if they see fit.
