Yeah our 10 year old was a nightmare for a bit until we figured out how to get through it now knowing the signs, yelling doesn't work. Just talking to him calmly and quietly and we've controlled the outbursts. Was a shock to the system cuz he's soooooooooo laid back.Originally posted by Spree B View PostYes, he's 10. Yeah, I can't really yell in the morning cause there are still people sleeping upstairs. I will have to figure this one out. Problem is, that its getting nice and he just wants to play outside. Forgets he has homework and doesn't wanna do it. Then in the morning "oh Mom I have homework" Ugh.Originally posted by LadyCobra View PostYeah our 10 year old was a nightmare for a bit until we figured out how to get through it now knowing the signs, yelling doesn't work. Does his school use planners? Ours has planners. JJ was notorious for turning in late assignments at the beginning of the year. Now we utilize the planners. His teacher and I would both sign off on it and it cured the late assignments and "forgetting" about homework. Now we are to the point that he walks in the door from school, does his homework right away without me asking and I just glance at the planner to make sure that he got all the work done. Saved the sanity and the yelling.Originally posted by Spree B View PostYeah, I can't really yell in the morning cause there are still people sleeping upstairs. I will have to figure this one out. If you don't have the planners, maybe just a notebook would work?09 Flex | 11 Escape | HELLFYR's Woman

He does have a planner, we use it, but he didn't write in there this assignment that he was hiding from me.Originally posted by LadyCobra View PostDoes his school use planners? Ours has planners. I need to find a different way though cause he destroys the planner. He likes to rip the corners of the paper. I need to work on his organizational skills.Originally posted by Slow35thNo wai brah. Sausage. I love sausage.Originally posted by Slow35thBring twins home anytime you want
