    1968 Mustang GT 4 sp Fastback Project - $12500 (southwest MN)

    1968 Mustang GT Fastback barn find. Original red on black GT with RUNNING 302 4 BBBL AND WORKING 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION. Also has power disk brakes , deluxe interior package with floor console and overhead console! Car came from factory with 302 J code 4 bbl 9 inch limited slip rear end with 3:25 gears Car has original GT Suspension . Car also has rear foldown seat. Car does run and move but needs complete restoration including rust repair and replacement. Keep in mind car is almost 50 years old. But if you are looking for a true GT Fastback project it is not easy to find one this complete. Car still has most all original parts including GT wheels and caps! 12,500.         You can buy a brand new body for $17.5K. This one is complete for $12.5K, but you would need to replace almost everything anyway. It may be worth it, but I'd have to do some math before spending over $10K on a car that rusty.

          Jack I've known this guy for years my father has been friends with him for awile. Bought many cars from him he has some nice stuff and fair prices if I remember right the orange red and green car in my pic came from him.

            I'd put a 420 Windsor in it back it up with a TKO 600, wildwood disc brakes on all 4 corners, rack & pinion steering, Mach 1 leather interior and leave it at a body shop for 3 years to get the rust free body painted.


            But that's just me.
            Don't ask, it's a midlife crises thing.

              I talked to the guy, seems nice. he is about 3.5 hours from me, and said that he will have other cars listed also...He is in the southwest on mn

                Jeez....3 years seems like a long time. I'd be getting pretty antsy by year four.
