Carsoup is a joke. When I'm searching vehicles I use craigslist, autotrader, cars.com, ebay.

Craigslist sucks. Why would you even bring that up?

I advertise on Carsoup. Results in 2-3 sales per month on average.

Autotrader and Cars.com are really expensive for dealers to advertise on.

I've actually had better luck on carsoup than I have had on craigslist over the years buying cars. I've only purchased one vehicle through CL. I've purchased three through carsoup. I've purchased two through local forums. And a couple through word of mouth. I think that's about it for recent history.

Back in the day, I bought a couple of cars through the star tribune classifieds section. I bought the 86 mustang I had for a winter car off of a bulletin board in an office building.

Carsoup attracts a higher class of buyer than CL generally speaking. We get fewer leads through it since every Tom Dick and Harry loves to sit on CL all day calling people to bother them about whatever they're selling.
