This is awesome. This is what he said.
"I built the engine myself. It's pretty much stock except for the Custom JFR Isky cam, callies Hbeam rods, mahle forged pistons, and ARP main, and head studs. Im running the factory 03 LQ4 heads, hand ported with factory valves(306cfm @.575''). Still running the 2003 GM truck intake manifold, throttle body, MAFS, and fuel rails.
The turbo kit is a KBRacing T4 log setup that uses the factory exh manifold on the drivers side. It uses a crossover that runs the exhaust into the back of the log header located on the pass side. The turbo mounts directly on the log, where it meets up with the down pipe. Turbo is a Precision PT88,T4 flange @20psi of boost, air to air I/c mounted under the bumper(too small)
Transmission is a factory GM 4L80E,(on borrowed time) with nothing more than a Transgo HD-2 shift kit, and upgraded sprag. Im running a Yank 3400, single disk converter that needs about 800RPM of stall taken out soon.
Those two runs were the first, on the new setup, and I had some shifting, and traction problems going on that day. In both runs you can hear it clipping the 6800RPM rev limiter on a 5900RPM shift point. My trans is hating the new PT88 lol. The track was also really messed up that day, they had just ground the starting line down to bare concrete, so traction was terrible. My 60' should be in the mid to low 1.3's, on a sticky track.
As for the two runs , I don't think anyone "important" saw the first pass, on the 2nd I was done. The truck is my daily driver, 100% factory interior no roll cage, I have no plans for one either. Some may call me crazy but I feel the cage will sacrifice my safety far more on the street, than it will benefit me at the track. Race weight is 4850LBS with driver.
