How to fix water leaking in basement. Any Ideas

As you can see in the picture, water drains right into the center "v" and floods the basement. Options I was thinking of.

#1 install a gutter on that section but where would I dump the water? So really a shitty Idea. To the right or back of the house is all concrete.

#2 dig a trench and install drain tile run it out to the front of the house. Front of the house is to the left.


#3 ANY OTHER IDEAS

Soil has probably eroded away from the foundation. Get rid of the stupid plants (that make it worse) and pack with soil to grade away from the house.

Make sure the grading goes all the way to the edge of the sidewalk so the water drains to the far side of it.

Otherwise the only other way to truly fix it is to rip it all up and waterproof it with tar, asphalt paper and affixing Platon over that, putting down a drain tile system and then backfilling it all.

i second the drain tile system. i had to regrade my entire front yard a couple years ago. i routed one of my gutters underground with draintile pipe out to the middle of my front yard. i re-seeded my front yard and since i have regraded and fixed where my gutter drained, my sump pump has not even turned on one time, where as before it was on almost every 5 mins in the spring and during heavy rains.

Agreed, Get rid of the landscaping and use thick poly with rock instead, OR just black dirt and sod over it, Try to pitch it away. And just use gutters and you can extend gutters at the bottom.

Gutters would probably be your cheapest solution, you would have to put your down spout some place far away which depending on the grade of your yard may or may not be practical.

Drain tile with a "rain garden" in the back if that's something you're into.

Biggest issue with a wet/moist basement is mold. Take a good look down there for moldy rafters/walls once you get your water problem taken care of take care of the mold.
