    Ballistics Experts In Here

    Guy at work came across an old revolver from the 20's. Came with a box of 38 Specials. I have never seen anything like this. Anyone know WTF is up with this bullet?







    And here's a few different type of 38 specials, but nothing like this.

    its in spanish, but from what i can gather. Its made by olin, post 1968
    Lists the country as EE, UU. No idea what that means... Europe/usa?

      Looks like a 38, but the manufacturer seated the bullet much lower in the casing. Kind of like the Nagant rounds. It also kind of looks like a heeled bullet, but It should be too new for that era.

                    Not sure about that specific bullet, looks to be Winchester wadcutter. The wadcutters have the bullet seated into the shell and the bullets have a flat profile rather than the traditional round profile. These rounds were popular in Bullseye revolver competition since they were very accurate and made clean holes in the target.
