I realize the costs involved and all, but I just can't wrap my brain around 30k Mustangs and 35k Tauruses. That a $600 a month payment for 5 years, interest free, on a freakin Taurus.

It sucks, but I think this is one of the prices we have to pay for a profitable company. Ever since Mullaly came to Ford, the prices skyrocketed it seems... They no longer seem to play the "sell cars/trucks at a loss just so we can have the most sales" game. Prices went way up, x plan discounts are way down, and the company is turning a profit now... Of course, as a consumer I don't like it, but in the end, I'd rather they do this than do a deal with the devil, like GM and Chrysler did...





Of course, the other reasons are speculators and supply/demand
