Has anyone driven from Half Moon Bay to San Luis Obisbo on highway 1

OMFG!!!!!!!! 80 miles of unbelievable scenery. Twists and turns, climbs anx descents. I saw two ferarris, zo6, AMG cars, 66 Shelby Cobra, GT, New Shelby, New Camaros. All I can say is OmFG. 4 hours of hairpins with breathless scenery was the best I've ever seen. Anyelse drive this road?

I lived out there in the 80s drove it all the time. I had a BMW M1 following me on one trip, what the hell they made like 450 of them. You can see cars out there that you will not see anywhere else.

I was out there last year and took that Trip but a little shorter after the Concours D' Elegance, Great road and great scenery! We stay in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The one night we left to go back from the Concours for the night, there were about 3 blocks where both sides of the street were lined with Ferrari's and Lambo's, got a few pics of it. At least 30 million in car's on the street that night! Just unbelievable, and the Concours OMFG! WOW you'll never see so many cars that will blow your mind. Stuff you'll never see again in your life! The money out there makes me sick! Going again this year though, wouldn't miss it for the world.

Haven't been out there since '99. The stretch of Route 1 around Santa Barbara was sweet. Somehow we wound up in Tiajuana on that trip and barely made it out in one piece

I have driven the length from Dana Point up to Leggett. Big Sur was probably my favorite area. It is a slow drive, but well worth it. Lots to see and plenty of places to stop.

If you ever get the chance, jump onto US-101 from Leggett and continue through Northern California, through Oregon, and up around the Olympic National Park to the Puget Sound area of Washington State. Another breathtaking drive.

They need to put up some signs letting you know that the next gas station is 50 miles.

Rented a brand new 2008 C6 vert from Hertz by the San Diego airport a couple years back.

My brother was a wine maker in SLO up until about 3 years ago. Took that route many times. It's a great drive.

Never saw the need for a fast car on it though. I am there for the scenery, not try to make the trip shorter. Why the hell would anybody want to make the trip shorter just to clip a few apexes? It's one of the most beautiful drives in the world.

I did the concourse in 94 when the featured marque was Ferrari. We went to Clint's bar, the Hogsbreath, and 308s were so plentiful, they were like Tauruses. It got to the point where you didn't even look at em.

It is a beautiful drive. I drove it about 10 years ago and got a little motion sickness. We drove from San Fran to Carmel and back for a day drip.
