Honestly, Both are great games. It really boils down to personal preference. MW2 is alot of fun and you can just jump in and run and gun. Battlefield you can do so many things and is more of an all-out-war game with better physics (IE bullet drop).
I love battlefield, alot more the MW2. But I still really like MW2 (even though im really sick of playing it, cause ive been playing it to much)
and theres very few things as satisfying in a video game as getting a "marksmanship headshot" from across the map, worth 132 points...
I really liked 1942 and Desert Combat, Vietnam was OK.
I never really got into the 1st BFBC, it seemed almost arcade like. Is the 2nd one any better?
I hated the first BFBC. And yeah, Im a long time battlefield player. I have yet to play the campaign on the second, but a couple friends say its pretty good.
I thought the demo was a little too hard for me but I'm a noob to online gaming. I will still be buying BC2 though.

I love MW2 but this game is really good competition for it. I think it's a lot of fun to play and the fact that you use the environment to your advantage is cool as hell!
I was a fan of BF2 and Bad Company but I have been playing MW2 so long that I am getting sick of it. It is an unrealistic FPS and although its fun and fast paced - I want a war simulator.
Enter BC2. Looks to have all a FPS guy could want....eventhough the graphics in the demo were inferior to MW2 (perhaps just a demo thing). What pisses me off is the ineffectiveness of the recon kit. Unless you hit a wounded enemy or a get a headshot - there are no one shot kills. BULLSHIT! Nobody takes a .50 cal round and keeps sprinting to cover. Also, the sound sucks on BC2. I had a guy shooting me in the back with a shotgun from like 3 feet away and I didn't hear a gunshot.... WTF?
That video had some good info, I've got BF2 and am warming up to it, I'm sure it'll be a good game once I get better at it but it does need some patches asap.
In a comparison it's honestly a toss up, they both have a lot going for them.
Battlefield 2>mw2!!!! I played the demo and was way more into the demo then the entire mw2 game. Going to best buy after work to pick it up and no one is allowed to talk to me for the next 48 hours.
