Thank GOD! So sick of 'dome dogs'. Man they are awful.
Hormel, whose hot dogs have been a high-profile dining option at Minnesota Twins games for nearly 10 years, will no longer supply the cornerstone concession item for the team as it moves to Target Field this season, Twins and Hormel officials said Wednesday.
"Hormel and the Twins decided to part ways after a great ... corporate relationship" that began in 2001, said team spokesman Kevin Smith said in an e-mail, describing the split as "an amicable parting of the ways."
Smith, acknowledging the hot dog's inseparable relationship with America's Pastime, added, "Hot dogs and baseball go together hand in glove, and we will be making an announcement in the weeks ahead about what the future of the hot dog is in Target Field."
Hormel spokeswoman Julie Craven said in a statement that the Austin, Minn., company bowed out of the relationship "after reviewing the change in cost for sponsorships at the new stadium."
