I live a couple of miles away from these folks.

I know most of the people in the area with sled dogs, but I don't know anyone that just had a baby, so I don't believe I know these folks.

Pretty sad.

I wouldn't trust or leave ANY dog alone with a small child let alone a newborn baby. Parents are to blame not the dog.

The baby was in a car seat, placed on a bed.

The incident happened shortly after noon yesterday.

I'm guessing mom just got home from grocery shopping or whatever, brought her baby in and ran back out to get the bags of groceries.

Things like this can happen that quick.

Should have brought the groceries in first. Nothing could have distracted my dog from a new bag of groceries to investigate.

A++ for parenting. I don't care what breed of dog it is, a baby should not be left alone with one. Too bad the dog will be euthanized because of idiot parents.
