Another TV "help needed" thread

Here's my TV

It's 8 years old and 42", basically the colors are all messed up, like the red hue is 2" to the right and the blue hue is 2" to the left, it's pretty trippy.

I'm not interested in fixing it, basically I'd like to know how much this thing is worth as it sits! You can be brutally honest, I have something in mind but I'd like to see what your opinions are. I'll be getting a 52" flat screen to replace it this weekend, but obviously this thing needs to go.

p.s. The LSD (Lego Security Device) can be easily removed.

Your convergance chip('s) has failed. Happens to just about all CRT projection TV's.
Your average TV repair shop charges $300. I can fix for much cheaper, just dont really want to lol.
Your TV is worth about free to $40 as it sit's. In good working condition it's worth about $150 to $200.

Yeah, wife just picked it up and moved it out to the garage!

So yeah, that's what I needed to hear. My idea was to offer it for free on CL as long as someone picks it up.

I picked up a free 46" Sony a couple month back off craigs list. The guy said he had it posted for several months, no body would come take it till I came along.

I don't think the superbowl will have that much of an impact on TV sales. If anything, I bet there will be some good deals.

Lotsa people hosting a SB party will buy a new HD before the event. More so if the Vikings are in.
