Anyone here have the tools to setup cat5 cables with RJ-45 connectors? I am moving into a new house and need to change wall jacks and connectors on the cat-5e cabling they ran for phone. Should be pretty easy since everything is ran into one spot then ran up to each room.

Not difficult.
Look up the Pin out config, buy your self a $15 kit from home depot and do it up. Its actually quite easy.

The pinout jacks are easy to do - I did our entire house before I took the networking class in college
There are a ton of guides out there to do it -take your time and it will turn out great, just don't run the lines parallel to power, you can cross it, but keep that to a minimum.

The tough part is keeping the wires in place/order when you're inserting them into the RJ-45 plugs. It just takes patience, is all.When we got to my place, I already had a candle burning. It was by "Glade", which I think you pronounce like the singer Sade, because it is an exotic candle that smells just like real pine.Comment
